>> Choose the type of industry for which you are writing this Business Plan. If your business offers services and no product(s), select "Service". If your business is involved in manufacturing of product(s), select "Manufacturing". If your business is involved in sales of products in wholesale level, select "Wholesale". If your business is involved in sales of products in retail level, select "Retail". If your business is involved in any combination of the above four, select "Custom".
>> Select whether your business is "Existing" or "New". Typically, "Existing" businesses are those with at least one year of past financial records. "New" is the best choice for a business that has been in business for less than a year.
>> Select "Browse" to specify a name and location for the new Question and Answer session, or to open a previously saved session. All saved Question and Answer session files have the extension ".QAW". Unless a Question and Answer session is complete, you may open the ".QAW" files at any time, to continue or modify a previously saved session. Upon completion of a session, a customized Business Plan will automatically be generated by the Wizard and saved as the same file name, and in the same directory selected in this question (the Business Plan file have the extension ".BPL"). Once the Business Plan file is created, the related ".QAW" file will be deleted and can not be accessed any longer, you may then modify your answers within the Business Plan file generated by the Wizard.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A session is considered complete, when the "Finish" button from last question is selected.
>> Enter the full name of your business in the provided space.
>> In the "Year" field enter the current year (for existing businesses), or first year (for new businesses). The entry should be in numeric format and 4 digits (for example 1998, 1999, 2000, etc.)
>> All questions except for the "Industry Type", "Existing/New" selection, and "File Name" can be modified during this question and answer session and/or after your Business Plan has been created.
>> To modify your answers after your Business Plan has been created, select "File" and then the "Plan Profile" option from the menu bar of Plan Composer screen.
